Salisbury School suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after besting Worcester Academy. The Crimson Knights had been ranked sixth, but fell to 31.
Salisbury School extended the longest winning streak in Erickson this week by beating the Hilltoppers, 27-21. The victory was the fourth in a row for Chris Phelps 's team.
Taft's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tim Drakeley threw for 294 and two touchdowns and Alex Huard had 147 yards receiving. On the ground Drakeley chipped in 61 yards. Nick LaSpada helped Taft's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 106 yards.
The Big Red's Drakeley and Huard have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Drakeley has thrown for 1044 yards this season, while Huard, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 23 catches for 536 yards. The Crimson Knights' Leon Cummings leads the league in rushing yards with 318.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Kent School takes on Salisbury School. Kent School has allowed 68 points this season, while the Crimson Knights have given up 54.
Trinity-Pawling took down Hotchkiss 60-23 last week, the largest margin of any game.
