The Edgewood Cougars were the 53-46 winner over the Lebanon Warriors when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Edgewood was outmatched by Lebanon at home and fell 69-42. When it comes to explaining why Edgewood lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Maddy Judd. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Rylie Homan, who scored 6 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lebanon, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood will challenge Badin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lebanon, they will head out on the road to face off against Ursuline Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ursuline Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
