Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Eldred

Eldred entered their tilt with Livingston Manor on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 15-1 win. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 12 runs or more this season.

Giada Donato spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Olivia Gonzalez, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. Jillian Smith was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Eldred always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-7. As for Livingston Manor, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Eldred will head out to challenge Livingston Manor-Roscoe Central at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Livingston Manor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
