Cicero-North Syracuse is 8-2 against West Genesee since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Northstars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Cicero-North Syracuse is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2 runs per game this season.
Last Wednesday, Cicero-North Syracuse was able to grind out a solid win over Oak Glen, taking the game 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Northstars.

Kiyara Bembry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Cicero-North Syracuse got a big performance out of Marisa Leone, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Coyle, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Cicero-North Syracuse kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, West Genesee entered their tilt with Baldwinsville on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bees by a score of 6-2.
Alanna Bowman was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Lynch, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Cicero-North Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for West Genesee, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
West Genesee's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cicero-North Syracuse has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for West Genesee, though, as they've been averaging 10.5 hits. Given Cicero-North Syracuse's sizable advantage in that area, the Wildcats will need to find a way to close that gap.
Cicero-North Syracuse was able to grind out a solid victory over West Genesee when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 5-2. Do the Northstars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
