The El Dorado Golden Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Sonora Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. El Dorado's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Sonora's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
El Dorado lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Villa Park, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Golden Hawks blew past the Spartans 7-1 on Thursday. Considering the Golden Hawks have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Emily Yoon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, El Dorado got a big performance out of Renay Chavez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run. Another player making a difference was Remmi Marquez, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
El Dorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 10-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Sonora came into Thursday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with an 11-6 win over Yorba Linda on Thursday.
Anela Quinones made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Quinones was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Samantha Jaimes, who went 3-for-5 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Savannah Saiza was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
El Dorado has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Sonora, their record is now 16-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. El Dorado has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sonora struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
El Dorado skirted past Sonora 1-0 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
