Basketball Recap: Carroll Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

Carroll had won five straight road games and Eli Falkenberg did his part to make it six on Tuesday. The Carroll Cougars came out on top against the Western Panthers by a score of 57-48 thanks in part to Falkenberg, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 27 points and six rebounds. His big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points.

Aidan Duff was another key player, going 6-for-9 en route to 19 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last ten games he's played.

Despite the loss, Western still got an impressive performance from Carter Biggs, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. What's more, Biggs racked up six assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sam Thurston, who posted nine points.

Carroll has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points over those games. The loss snapped Western's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-10 record.

Carroll wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-50 victory against Eastern on the 28th. As for Western, they have also already played their next game, a 61-45 defeat against Maconaquah on the 5th.
