 Even though they lost, McCallie  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 12  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Baylor only tossed seven.
 Baylor's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 19-3. As for McCallie, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10.
 Baylor will have a chance to go back-to-back against McCallie: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
