Kettering has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Romeo Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Kettering came up short against Lamphere and fell 53-41.
Despite their loss, Kettering saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Diego Rocha, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Rocha is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jordan Jarrell was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Romeo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 78-35 defeat at the hands of Lincoln. While losing is never fun, Romeo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while Lincoln is ranked 11th).
Kettering has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Romeo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
