Oxford has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Bartlett Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Oxford came up short against the Wolverines and fell 47-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Oxford has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Oxford saw an underclassman step up: Nolan Remington scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Remington has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brady Marqoupis, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Bartlett humbled the Warriors with a 74-40 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Bartlett has managed all season.
Oxford's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Bartlett, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
Everything went Oxford's way against the Indians when the teams last played back in January as the Pirates made off with a 74-50 win. Will Oxford repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
