Kason Canupp Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Rock Hill's Kason Canupp, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Canupp threw for 339 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 72 yards on only eight carries.
The win (which was Rock Hill's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Canupp and Rock Hill will head out to face off against Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Northwestern was led to victory by Zymier Gordon-Miles, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Gordon-Miles rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.

Northwestern picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Finley Polk. Polk was dynamite, throwing for 270 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 42 yards and two touchdowns.
If the past is any indication, Polk could be in store for another big game when he takes on Rock Hill on Friday. Polk rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Bearcats duked it out back in September of 2023.

Zy'On King produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Rock Hill to the win on Friday. The matchup was his sixth straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.
On the year, King has averaged 8.8 total tackles per game and for the season has 2 interceptions.
