Trinity Christian extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 2 this week by beating Yulee, 42-22. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Conquerors.
Bishop Snyder took down Branford 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Trinity Christian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Oshay Carter threw for 135 yards and Isaiah Ford had 41 yards receiving. On the ground Nick Washington chipped in 179 yards. Washington helped Trinity Christian's passing attack out by catching one ball for 30 yards.
Trinity Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Conquerors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Carter has thrown for 948 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Ford has 30 catches for 417 yards. Washington leads the league in rushing with 636 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Verlon Dorminey's team takes on Episcopal. At the moment, the Conquerors are in first, while the Eagles are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Trinity Christian takes on Episcopal. The Conquerors have allowed 87 points this season, while Dave Hess' team has given up 208. Trinity Christian allowed 22 points last week as it topped the Hornets.
Providence and West Nassau played the most hotly contested game in 3A District 2 this week, with Providence eventually emerging with a 27-22 victory.
