The Catalina Foothills Falcons will square off against the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Catalina Foothills comes in on nine and Mica Mountain on four.
Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Catalina Foothills against Canyon del Oro as the squad secured a 63-20 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Clara Mae Hager was her usual excellent self, putting up 19 points along with seven assists and five steals. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mercy Martinez, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards.
Catalina Foothills smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.
Meanwhile, Mica Mountain didn't have too much trouble with Sahuaro on Tuesday as they won 58-41.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Isabella Webb and Carly Coolidge. Webb had a great game and dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. Meanwhile, Coolidge was balling out in the loss, going 8-for-15 to rack up 20 points and six boards.
Catalina Foothills' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.2 points over those games. As for Mica Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Catalina Foothills has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Mica Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Catalina Foothills skirted past Mica Mountain 64-61 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Webb, who posted 23 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Catalina Foothills still be able to contain Webb? There's only one way to find out.
