The Thornton Wildcats entered their tilt with the Bloom Blazing Trojan with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Thornton enjoyed a cozy 69-52 victory over Bloom on Tuesday. Given Thornton's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Bloom is ranked 34th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
