Softball Recap: Peninsula's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

There's no place like home for Peninsula, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves on Wednesday as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The Panthers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 16, 2024 (when they won 13-5).

Sienna Saggiani was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Saggiani wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Emily Gonzalez, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Peninsula moved to 8-16 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Peninsula has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Redondo Union on the 2nd. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-0 defeat against Palos Verdes on the 1st.
