Murray is a perfect 9-0 against Hillcrest since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Spartans will welcome the Huskies at 3:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Murray comes in on four and Hillcrest on six.
On Wednesday, Murray earned an 8-5 win over Stansbury.
Savana Whitlock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Maddie Bigelow was incredible, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having also posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Rowley, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Murray always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They are 5-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest hadn't done well against Tooele recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Huskies narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Buffaloes 15-13.
The team relied heavily on Bailey Terry, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Skylynn Salazar Bell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Hillcrest pushed their record up to 9-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Murray, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Hillcrest's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Murray has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Hillcrest, though, as they've been averaging 9.4 hits. Given Murray's sizable advantage in that area, the Huskies will need to find a way to close that gap.
Murray was able to grind out a solid victory over Hillcrest in their previous matchup back in March, winning 11-6. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
