Siloam Springs is 0-3 against Mountain Home since October of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Siloam Springs Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Mountain Home Bombers at 7:00 p.m. Siloam Springs is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Siloam Springs fell victim to Little Rock Christian Academy's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 56-0 loss at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Siloam Springs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas football rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Little Rock Christian Academy is ranked seventh).
Meanwhile, Mountain Home also never made a goal in their most recent game. They were dealt a 51-0 loss at the hands of Little Rock Christian Academy two weeks ago. Mountain Home has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Siloam Springs' defeat was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-0 Greenwood and 12-1 Pulaski Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 59.5% over those games). Mountain Home has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Siloam Springs was taken down by Mountain Home 44-17 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Siloam Springs, Brady Barnett (who rushed for 141 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
