They escaped with a win on Friday against Morse by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32. The win was some much needed relief for the Hawks as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Sacopee Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Traip, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
