Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Ayersville walked away with it. They never let the Antwerp Archers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Pilots, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kendra Waldron was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Makayla Laker-Sierra and Annalee Weisgerber did most of the damage at the plate: Laker-Sierra went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Weisgerber went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three runs gave Laker-Sierra a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aeriel Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Ayersville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Antwerp only posted an OBP of .062.

The victory made it two in a row for Ayersville and bumps their season record up to 19-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Antwerp, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Ayersville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-2 victory against Hilltop on the 23rd. Antwerp does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
