Spoto also got a significant boost from Jaedyn Cartwright, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 115 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Spoto's defense and their four sacks. Rome Freeman was especially locked on to Leto's QB and sacked him twice. Freeman also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 11. Another thorn in Leto's side was Nasir Foster, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Lakeland put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Sebring by a score of 22-12. Given the Dreadnaughts' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked third, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 108th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakeland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaysean Pritchard, who rushed for 81 yards on only five carries.
