Ayer Shirley took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. Everything went their way against the South Lancaster Academy Crusaders as Ayer Shirley made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row dating back to last season.
Ayer Shirley never let South Lancaster Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 27-25, 25-20.
Miles Pyatt paced Ayer Shirley's offense, picking up seven kills. Pyatt got some help from Nicholas Williams and his 14 assists. Nicholas Towne controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
