Having just played yesterday, the Timberline Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Boise Brave at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
On Monday, Timberline faced Owyhee in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Timberline was the victim of a tough 66-40 loss at the hands of Owyhee. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Timberline has suffered since November 14, 2023.
Meanwhile, Boise had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.9 points), and they went ahead and made it 15 on Friday. They took down Owyhee 64-50.
It was another big night for Avery Howell, who shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 37 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Avery Patricco, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Timberline's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Boise, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1.
Timberline took a serious blow against Boise in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 58-29. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Howell, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 0 assists.
