The Armuchee Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Oglethorpe County Patriots at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Armuchee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy by a score of 3-1.
Armuchee was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 25-6.

Armuchee can attribute much of their success to Addison Blanton, who had 14 digs and three aces, and Charley Ray, who had ten digs and two aces. Ray is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played.
They weren't the only good servers: Armuchee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, Oglethorpe County entered their tilt with Commerce on Wednesday with 15 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 16. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory.
Oglethorpe County walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-9.
Oglethorpe County's victory bumped their record up to 28-8. As for Armuchee, their win bumped their record up to 25-15.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's matchup: Armuchee has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Oglethorpe County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
