Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Olivia Tolleson and Dacie Green Lead Chesnee to Victory

Chesnee had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They secured a 32-26 W over the Brashier Middle College Charter Bengal. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Bengal back in December of 2024, they had to take a 34-32 loss.

Leading Chesnee to victory were Dacie Green and Olivia Tolleson. Green dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards, while Tolleson posted nine points and four steals. Green is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last eight games she's played. Liana Kreydich was another key player, putting up five points.

Chesnee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Chesnee is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-15 record this season. As for Brashier Middle College Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Chesnee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-34 defeat against Blacksburg on the 28th.
