After a string of six wins, Mt. Carmel's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boyd Yellowjackets.

Boyd was led to victory by Emmarese Harrison and Payton Sowell. Harrison had five aces and four digs, while Sowell had six digs. Those five aces gave Harrison a new career-high.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Boyd, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Mt. Carmel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Rockwall-Heath on the 30th. As for Boyd, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Sunrise Mountain on the 30th.
