The Bayshore Bruins scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat DeSoto County 85-43 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Bayshore has managed all season.
Bayshore got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was William Strawbridge out in front who scored 22 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshawn Parhm, who scored 17 points along with six assists and three steals.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rylan Unruh, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Unruh has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Julian Quezada was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Bayshore and bumps their season record up to 7-11. As for DeSoto County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-20.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayshore won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sarasota Military Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Sarasota Military Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for DeSoto County, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Booker at 7:30 p.m.
