The Marshall Academy Griffons can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against Factoryville Christian as Marshall Academy made off with a 65-40 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Marshall Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marshall Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Patterson, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Delray White was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
The win got Marshall Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Factoryville Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall Academy will challenge St. Philip Catholic Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Factoryville Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Will Carleton Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
