Basketball Recap: Abundant Life Academy's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

After a string of four wins, Abundant Life Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 51-44 to American Christian School. Abundant Life Academy was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced American Christian School earlier this season, when they won 53-46.

Abundant Life Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Josh Amoah, who went 8 of 12 en route to 19 points. The game was Amoah's third in a row with at least ten points. Duncan Oduro was another key player, going 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points.

Abundant Life Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for American Christian School, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Abundant Life Academy will head out to face off against Veritas Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Abundant Life Academy is facing Veritas Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Veritas Christian Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for American Christian School, they will venture away from home to take on Harmony Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. American Christian School will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Harmony Christian Academy will have lost six straight heading into Monday's contest.
