Delone Catholic can attribute much of their success to Gage Zimmerman, who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Zimmerman really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run. Braden Smith and his 82 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Delone Catholic's victory.
Fairfield can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They didn't even let York Catholic onto the board and left with a 21-0 victory.
Among those leading the charge was Dominic Smitley, who rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns.
Delone Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Fairfield, their victory bumped their record up to 1-8.
