Cherokee Trail also got a great performance from Carter Wilcox as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave Wilcox a new career-high in strikeouts.
At the plate, Brody Ceyrolles was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI. Jacob Ryan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Cherokee Trail always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saguaro only posted an OBP of .185.
