The Simla Cubs will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Park Burros at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Simla's favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while South Park has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Simla took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 56-12 victory over Elbert. Fans of Simla have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Simla's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but TJ Eurich led the charge by rushing for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also picking up 65 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Caston Cox, who threw for 259 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 passes.
Simla's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Treven Kocerha and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, South Park suffered a tough 53-28 defeat at the hands of St. Mary's on Friday. South Park was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-6.
Simla's win lifted them to 7-0 while South Park's loss dropped them down to 1-7.
