The Butler Bulldogs fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Cross Creek Razorbacks on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Razorbacks. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Butler in their matchups with Cross Creek: they've now lost nine in a row.
Butler's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayla Harris, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Floyd, who scored 12 points.
Micheala Bogans continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cross Creek, scoring 29 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The contest was Bogans' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tahjae Hawes, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Butler's road trip will continue as they head out to face Grovetown at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Grovetown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday. As for Cross Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 378th, while Cross Creek is ranked 126th).
