The Iowa Yellowjackets will face off against the Haughton Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Haughton will be up against a hot Iowa team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. Iowa blew past LaGrange 21-1 on Thursday.

Ayla Stollsteimer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stollsteimer was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and one run. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, Parkar Daigle and Andie Huval did most of the damage at the plate: Daigle scored four runs while going 3-for-4, while Huval scored four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave Huval a new career-high. Allie Darbonne was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Haughton and Byrd, and Haughton kept the tradition alive. Everything went Haughton's way against Byrd on Thursday as Haughton made off with a 20-4 win. With that victory, the Buccaneers brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Haughton got a massive performance out of Reese Mayfield, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Carsyn Kizzia, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Haughton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
Haughton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. Iowa pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Iowa hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Haughton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
