After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hebbronville, the Benavides Eagles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 32-31 photo finish over Bruni. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Benavides also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Benavides' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Bruni, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Benavides' road trip will continue as they head out to face Ben Bolt at 11:30 a.m. on December 1st. Ben Bolt's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Benavides' offense will have their work cut out for Benavides. As for Bruni, they will head out on the road to face off against Hebbronville at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hebbronville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday.
