Sparrows Point has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the North East Indians at TBD on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sparrows Point walked away with it. They came out on top against Rising Sun by a score of 13-6 on Thursday.
Sparrows Point's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javier Guevara, who threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns. Anthony Morris did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after only nine points in their last contest, North East made sure to put some points up on the board against Fallston on Friday. North East breezed by Fallston on the road to the tune of 42-7. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point North East had established a 28 point advantage.
Sparrows Point has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 7-3 record. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Rising Sun, Lansdowne, and Chesapeake. As for North East, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
