They breezed by Summit Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 61-28. The team ran away with 52 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
When it comes to explaining why Summit Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Payton Hammond. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds. The game was Hammond's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Community Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Summit Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Richmond HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th.
