Basketball Game Preview: Foothills Community Christian Falcons vs. Stanford/Geyser/Denton Bearcats

The Foothills Community Christian Falcons will take on the Stanford/Geyser/Denton Bearcats in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Foothills Community Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.5 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Foothills Community Christian made easy work of Helena Christian and carried off a 53-33 win.

Foothills Community Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Cyr, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Cyr is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Aidan Feenstra, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Stanford/Geyser/Denton had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt an 81-27 loss at the hands of Foothills Community Christian last Thursday.

Foothills Community Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Stanford/Geyser/Denton, they dropped their record down to 0-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everything came up roses for Foothills Community Christian against Stanford/Geyser/Denton when the teams last played last Thursday, as the squad secured an 81-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foothills Community Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
