Musselman faced Shady Spring in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Applemen skirted past the Tigers 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Applemen in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Musselman had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 20-18.

Musselman was led to victory by Alycia Miller and Bianca Hutzler. Miller had 19 digs and three aces, while Hutzler had 18 assists and six digs. That's the most aces Miller has posted since back in August. Leah Dunham also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Musselman's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Shady Spring, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 28-9-1.
