Winnebago Lutheran Academy won the last time they faced Algoma and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wolves. The victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jenna Petrowitz paced Winnebago Lutheran Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Petrowitz got some help from Abby Walta and her nine assists. Petrowitz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Winnebago Lutheran Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Algoma, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Winnebago Lutheran Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy on the 29th. After both having extra time off, Algoma and Kewaunee will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th.
