The Woodinville Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Kamiak Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodinville's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Kamiak's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Woodinville barely beat Newport - Bellevue the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Knights on Monday. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.

Braden Perry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).
In other pitching news, Levi Grothen looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Eli Jones, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Noah Vaiphei also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kamiak, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Mountlake Terrace on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 19, 2024.
Joe Estes looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Malachi Noet was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Woodinville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Kamiak, their record is now 9-3.
Woodinville's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Falcons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Kamiak, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Woodinville continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Woodinville's way against Kamiak in their previous matchup back in March of 2017, as Woodinville made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
