The Landon Bears were the 75-58 winner over the St. Albans Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Landon took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Albans on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Landon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aristeides John Hobson. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. John Hobson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marc Goldman, who scored seven points.
Landon has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for St. Albans, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Landon will be playing at home against Georgetown Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Albans, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. James at 3:00 p.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (St. James is ranked 22nd in Maryland, while St. Albans is ranked 29th in District of Columbia).
