Northwest Christian came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 18-7 margin over the ALA - Ironwood Warriors. Considering the Crusaders have won nine contests by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Reagan Floquet made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Kinsey Unger was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last five games she's played. Kendalyn Cook was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Northwest Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.

Northwest Christian pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for ALA - Ironwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.

Northwest Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-0 victory against Gilbert Christian on the 14th. ALA - Ironwood has also already played their next contest (against San Tan Foothills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
