Staunton is 6-1 against Pana since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Staunton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
While Staunton's win against Mulberry Grove wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Aces 3-1.

Ele Feldmann spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Staunton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Janus, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Pana had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Purple Panthers by a score of 6-1.
Pana also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Joey Laker gave up only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Izzy Reed, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Bella Bennett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Pana hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Litchfield struck out six times.
Staunton's record is now 12-2. As for Pana, their record now sits at 7-9.
Staunton took their win against Pana in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
