Having struggled with three losses in a row, Ellendale turned things around against South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mustangs. The Cardinals not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25th (when they won 3-0).
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-21.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Imperials: they've now won four in a row.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-9, 25-12.
Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier's victory bumped their record up to 14-4-1. As for Ellendale, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.
