After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wachusett Regional, the Acton-Boxborough Colonials were happy to have found some success on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 51-35 victory over Waltham. That's another feather in the cap for Acton-Boxborough, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Shannon Patrick continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. Olivia Baytarian was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Acton-Boxborough's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Waltham, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Acton-Boxborough will finish 2023 at home by hosting Burlington at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Waltham will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Weston at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th.
