Jefferson waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Waconia Wildcats as they made off with a 14-2 win. Considering the Jaguars have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jefferson pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Waconia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will head out to take on Minnetonka at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Skippers will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Waconia, they will head out on the road to face off against Orono at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
