Southlake Carroll and Vandegrift squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Southlake Carroll had to settle for second. They fell 24-17 to the Vandegrift Vipers. The Dragons' loss signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Southlake Carroll lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brock Boyd, who picked up 178 receiving yards and one touchdown. Angelo Renda was another key signal caller, throwing for 351 yards and two touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, Southlake Carroll fell to 15-1. As for Vandegrift, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

As of now, neither Southlake Carroll nor Vandegrift have any future games scheduled.
