Sutton extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Kyla Griess. Everything went the Mustangs' way against the Centennial Broncos on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Griess, who had 20 digs and two aces. Griess is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

While Sutton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-18.

Centennial's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Meg Hoffschneider, who had 11 digs and two aces, and Hurley Harroun, who had seven digs. Those aces marked the first that Hoffschneider has served this season.

Sutton's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Coming up, Sutton will take on Fillmore Central in a tournament on Saturday. As for Centennial, they will face off against Adams Central at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.
