The Mavericks narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Falcons  3-2 thanks in part to  Costello, who  had 20  digs and four assists. She has been hot recently, having  posted 15 or more  digs the last four times she's  played.
 Mead had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 15-25, 25-12, 27-25,  15-12.
 Mead's record is now 9-5. As for Frederick, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
 Frederick might still be hurting after the  3-0 defeat they got from Mead  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
