Community Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-45 walloping at the hands of Curtis Baptist. Community Christian Academy has struggled against Curtis Baptist recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Jefferson Davis Academy struggled with assists on Monday (Curtis Baptist had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Jefferson Davis Academy took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Curtis Baptist. While losing is never fun, Jefferson Davis Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 281st in South Carolina, while Curtis Baptist is ranked 114th in Georgia).
Despite the loss, Jefferson Davis Academy had strong showings from Colson Loadholt, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals, and Nasir Void, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Void is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Reese Still, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Community Christian Academy now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
