Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Trinity Christian Academy entered their tilt with Lake Highland Prep on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Highlanders. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Highlanders, too.

Grace Falco made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base.

In other batting news, Kay'La Jones was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February of 2025. Mckenzie Winters was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Trinity Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.

Trinity Christian Academy's record now sits at 4-1. As for Lake Highland Prep, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will welcome Pine Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Highland Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgewater at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
